Meet the Grovehill Future Neighbourhood Forum
Where a neighbourhood plan is being developed in a non-parished area like Grovehill, a Neighbourhood Forum has to be created. A Forum is a group of at least 21 members of the community, who live, work or are elected representatives of the local area.
To to become a Neighbourhood Forum, an application must be made to Dacorum Borough Council. Once approved, the group becomes a ‘statutory body’ that the local planning authority must consult when there are planning applications affecting the area covered by the Neighbourhood Plan.
More information about neighbourhood forums is available on the Legislation website.
Grovehill Future made a successful application to Dacorum Borough Council, and following public consultation, became a recognised Neighbourhood Forum in February 2014
